This was the secret to our cultures withstanding the test of time.

Unfortunately, it also became one of our greatest weaknesses. Along came people with the power to erase memories, turn lies into stories, and steal from the very thing that made us who we are.

WordsOfColor is not the full answer—not even close. But it is a start. It is a way to correct what was wrong and relearn who we are as a people, as well as the things that have made us among the most resilient people on the planet.

It is a place where children and adults can come to find the stories that were lost, the history that was rewritten, and a narrative that is not filtered through agendas or publishers determined to make us smaller than we are.

Our purpose is simple: to inspire, empower, and set minds free by sharing our stories among ourselves. We must know where we begin and where we end so that no one but us can determine who we are.
